    1. Every weekend booked through May
    2. Blues Amusements wants to rent fairgrounds for parking. Will pay for electricity, clean up for $4000.00. 
    3. Farmer Browns wants to store restaurant equipment.
    4. Motion by Zeeb to approve Blues and Rich has authority to negotiate Farmer Browns, Second by Nolte CARRIED

                                                               i.      Simmons Demo Derby and add a truck demo derby Motion by Percifield Second Finney to approve.  CARRIED

                                                             ii.      Zeeb Nebraska Farm Bureau News $392.00 for May/June Motion by J. Jansen Second by Timm CARRIED

                                                            iii.      Motion by Zeeb to activate website for contracts, Second by Radke CARRIED

    1. Nebraska Humane Society- Emergency Management Proposition (tabled)

                                                               i.      Motion by Timm Second by Simmons to enter an agreement with the Humane Society in case of emergency to be negotiated with Zeeb and approved by R. Jansen. CARRIED Nay Heitman, Percifield

    1. Set Agenda for 2008 Fair

                                                               i.      Motion by Zeeb Second by Percifield for directors to amend schedule and email Heitman

    1. Purchase of used Gator

    1. Set 2009 Fair Dates

                                                               i.      July 29th thru August 2nd 2009 Motion by Simmons Second by Stoecklien to approve 2009 Fair Dates contingent to Carnival availability.  Rich to verify with the carnival.  CARRIED

 

 

 

  1. 4-H Report
    1. Vern presented a check for $20,000.00 for 50% of the new pens for the Livestock Pavilion.
    2. Vern will email schedule for 2008 Fair
    3. Judges to be paid $12.00 per hour and one meal ticket, which was prior approved.

 

  1. Communication from the public

 

    1. Mickey Simmons with Gretna Schools requesting the use of fair grounds for the Gretna K-5 Carnival in case of rain at no charge.  Motion Finney Second by Zeeb to rent the Livestock Pavilion, Open Air, & School Bld. for $235.00 w/a refundable deposit of $250.00.  CARRIED Abstain Simmons

 

    1. Carrie Furley: Booth Space

 

                                                               i.      Booth space for Pampered Chef booth rental and has been a vendor for 10 years.

                                                             ii.      10 notices of Sarpy County of Equalization for tax exemption
