2018 Wed Garden Tractor Results

The Sarpy County Resident Tractor Pull & Garden Tractor Pull is open only to those that reside in Sarpy County.  This is a fun event to watch as the Pullers compete on Wednesday night of the fair at 6:30pm.  Come on out and watch the competitors at the south end of the fair grounds in the Motor Sports Arena.

This event is free to spectators.  The entry fees are $5 for garden tractors and $20 for tractors.  Weigh-in will be held from 3:30 pm-5:30 pm on Wednesday.  Watch for signs off from Highway 50 and Pflug Road for parking, weigh-in and the pits.

RULES:

  1. Contest open to all rubber tired garden tractors with no industrial or 4-wheel drive tractors allowed.
  2. Stock Class Garden Tractors will be entered in the following weight classes:
  3. 800# stock 12hp or less
  4. 1000# stock single cylinder
  5. 1000# stock twin cylinder
  6. 1050# super stock
  7. 850# stock 12 hp or less
  8. 1050# stock single cylinder
  9. 1050# stock twin cylinder
  10. 1050# modified
  11. 1300# stock
  12. Weight includes driver. No weight or driver changes allowed after the weigh-in is completed. All weights must be bolted or fastened.
  13. Maximum hitch height for stock ­class is 13 inches above ground.
  14. All garden tractors in stock classes will have a stock or mfg. approved garden tractor replacement engine to be run at mfg. specification and a maximum engine rpm of 4250 rpm no load, no rpm limit for super stock or modified. No porting or polishing or high performance alteration to engine allowed. No manual over­ride on governor/carburator link­age. All engines will be check for maximum rpms prior to pulling and after pulling if questionable rpms are observed/questions. (Sparkplug wire must be accessible for this check of rpms.) (No motorcycle, chainsaw, snowmobiles, etc., engines will be allowed on a stock class garden trac­tor).
  15. Stock exhaust muffler will be used or the exhaust must discharge verti­cally (+ or –10 degrees) upward and extend at least 12 inches from the exhaust port.
  16. No gear shifting after individual pull starts, variator equipped garden tractors will be allowed to use varia­tor shifting, as do hydrostatics. No jerking or hole digging allowed.
  17. Only one puller per tractor per class.
  18. Maximum of two hooks per tractor.
  19. All stock classes except twin cylinder classes cannot use dedicated pulling tires. Griding tires may be permitted. Twin cylinder classes may run any cut.  26X12X12 max size in all classes, no dual wheels, tire chains or 4-wheel drive.
  20. Front-end weights may not extend more than 20 inches in front of the tractor frame.
  21. All drivers under 18 years of age must have parent’s written consent and DRIVERS PULL AT THEIR OWN RISK.
  22. **Contestants under 18 years of age may have one (1) pit crew person; over 18 years of age; on the track while pulling. Pit crew person cannot at anytime touch the tractor while pulling. The contestant will be disqualified if this occurs.
  23. Contest to be governed by Judges with all decisions final. Judges have the right to stop or disqualify any contestant tractor if it is operated in such a manner as would be con­sidered unsafe. Driver must remain seated and one hand on the steering wheel during the pull.
  24. Members of the committee immediately prior to making a pull will check gear position and weight. Tractors may be rechecked after the pull is completed if there is any ques­tion of pull violation.
  25. Committee has the right to accept or reject any or all entries.
  26. Contestants and Spectators WILL BE THERE AT THEIR OWN RISK.

RULES:

Weight includes driver. No weight changes or driver changes after weigh-in is completed. All weights must be bolted or fastened securely to tractor chassis. Tractors will be reweighed before entering arena for pull; this will be the official weight.

On all Turbo Tractors exhaust stacks must discharge vertically. Absolutely No Curved Stacks on Turbo Tractors.

Drawbar height maximum 20 inches from ground to top of draw­bar. This will be rechecked before entering arena for pull.

Any Tractor found to be unsafe or illegal may be disqualified and barred from hooking.

No dual wheel tire chains or 4-wheel drive permitted.

Only one pull allowed each contes­tant per class unless a tie is declared.

Pull is ended when tractor engine stalls or forward motion stops. No jerking or hole digging allowed, slight bouncing permissible. Throttle must have over center stop.

Any part falling off the tractor after being hooked and until the tractor is unhooked will result in disqualifica­tion.

Draft controlled drawbars may be used as long as they never rise higher than 20 inches.** Drawbars may not be fastened to a 3 point hitch.

All tractors must be equipped with a hood and grill.

Gas, diesel or LP fuels only. No alcohol or nitrous oxide fuels or addi­tives may be used in tractors.
